Bin 4 Burger Lounge Partners with Highlanders

by Joshua Rendle

VICTORIA, BC - Victoria Highlanders FC is pleased to announce a community partnership with Bin 4 Burger Lounge for the 2018 Premier Development League (PDL) season. The locally based business joins the Highlanders family ahead of their Father’s Day matchup versus Calgary Foothills FC this Sunday.

Bin 4 Burger Lounge is locally owned and operated across four locations, three in Victoria and one in Vancouver. When meeting with Co-owner Dan Blackmore from Bin 4 Burger we found out a little bit more about the company and the reasons for their involvement with the club.

Who are you?

The ownership group consists of myself, Sarah Blackmore (my wife), Gerry & Linda Russ (Sarah's parents) and Mike Ringland (long time friend and our Corporate Chef)

As the name indicates we are focused primarily on burgers and putting our twist on them. We focus on high quality local products.

Why are you getting involved with the Highlanders?

We are getting involved with the Highlanders for a few reasons. I know a good portion of the ownership team and am excited for them and this opportunity.

My personal love for soccer and for supporting local businesses.

What are you most looking forward to this year?

We are most looking forward to seeing the word get out of local ownership that are passionate about bringing soccer to our city. That and a few wins along the way.

The Highlanders host Calgary Foothills FC at UVic’s Centennial Stadium this Sunday with a Father’s Day discount, tickets are still available. The team is on the road before returning to Victoria for a home match on Friday, June 29th against TSS FC Rovers at Centennial Stadium. Tickets are available at www.highlandersfc.ca/tickets.
