Guilherme named to USL League 2 Team of Week

Victoria, BC - First year Highlanders defender, Connor Guilherme, formerly of the Vancouver Whitecaps U23 has found himself on the Team of the Week roster for the 2nd week running after a great defensive performance against Sounders U23 where he also scored the match winner.

Some wonder goals, a hat-trick, and player of the match performances land top players in week fours Team of the Week.  

Here's a full look at the USL League Two National Team of the Week in Week 4: 


GK - Rodrigo Sarmiento, San Diego Zest FC: The Zest shot-stopper has been impressive in between the sticks with brilliant saves including being up for Save of the Week.  

D - Euan Bauld, Calgary Foothills FC: Last years champions have been resolute in defense to start this season with assistance from Bauld.

D - Connor Guilherme, Victoria Highlanders: Guilherme finds himself on the TOTW again this week after a great defensive performance against Sounders U23 where he also scored the match winner.

D - Richard Schlentz, Reading United: Schlentz has played every minute in three out of four Reading games to start the season while helping the team remain undefeated in the same span.

M - Adam Vargas, Ventura County Fusion: Came on as a sub against San Diego and started the game against San Francisco grabbing a goal in each game to help his team snag four points last week. 

M - Stefan Lukic, Corpus Christi FC: Kicked off the week right with a brace against Houston and closed with a strong hour performance against Mississippi Brilla.

M - Luca Mayr, South Georgia Tormenta FC 2: Another player who started the week strong, with a goal and two assists Mayr has been crucial in helping Tormenta win every game 4-0 this season.

M - John Doran, Boston Bolts: Played in 268 minutes out of Bostons 270 last week registering a goal and an assist in a high scoring affair with Black Rock. 

F - Nebojsa Popovic, Flint City Bucks: Providing a high-quality game-winner against Chicago FC United and helped lead the line with a goal against the Cincinnati Dutch Lions in a 3-2 win. 

F - Levonte Johnson, Treasure Coast Tritons: Started in one game last week and registered a brace as well as an assist through 77 minutes against Weston FC.

F - Ousseni Bouda, Black Rock FC: The number one prospect in League Two showed off his talent with a hattrick against the Boston Bolts bringing his season tally to five goals in three games.
