Jimmy Going enters his second official year with the Highlanders after serving in a communications & marketing coordinator role during the 2014 PDL season while he was attending Camosun College. At Camosun, the Victoria native graduated from the Bachelor of Sport and Fitness Leadership program with a diploma and bachelor’s degree in sport management. Going’s previous experience includes two seasons with the Victoria Royals of the Western Hockey League in a communications coordinator role.

“I’m very excited to be joining the Highlanders for the upcoming USL League Two season,” stated Going. “The opportunity to work with Mark deFrias again, as well as the rest of the ownership group, the coaches, and the players was too good to pass up. We have a young and exciting team this season – add to that a great coaching staff in Thomas Niendorf, Vikram Virk, and Nico Craveiro. I’m looking forward to growing in this position and adding to the strong relationship this team has with the Victoria community.”

Going will serve in the role of Assistant GM – under acting GM Mark deFrias – as well as marketing manager.

Jeremy Dillon, meanwhile, enters his first year with the Highlander squad.  Dillon has worked in recreation services for the past 30 years and stadium operations for the past 10 years. The Vancouver Island native brings a wealth of passion and knowledge for the game of soccer including his experience as a youth soccer coach for the Juan de Fuca Soccer Association. With a young son growing up and playing the beautiful game, Dillon is looking forward to working with the fans and bringing the game to Victorians.

“As a youth soccer coach I want to be a part of developing all levels of the game for our kids,” added Dillon. “I’m also looking forward to using my previous experience in recreation services and stadium operations to present exciting and memorable game day experiences for the fans. Having lived in and around the game of soccer – this is an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. Soccer in Victoria is steeped in the history of this city and being a little part of that is exciting.”

Dillon will serve in the role of Director of Operations, a role that will have him overseeing stadium and game day operations.
