Isaac Koch Committed to 2022 Men's Roster
VICTORIA, B.C. – Victoria Highlanders FC is pleased to announce that Isaac Koch has committed to the 2022 men’s roster. The attacking midfielder, who was most recently playing for the University of Victoria Vikes, will be fundamental asset for the Highlanders objectives in L1BC.
“Last time I played with the Highlanders I tore my ACL halfway through the season, which was a bit disappointing,” commented Koch. “The goal this year, as an overage player, is to be more of a leader for the younger players. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Coach Simonson and I’m looking forward to learning from him and helping these young players pursue their goals – whether that’s to get into the University level or the next level beyond. I’m looking forward to help wherever I can.”
The Kelowna-born player played a total of 44 games in USport, scoring 20 times and adding 14 assists. In the 2019 Canada West, Koch was recognized as the MVP of the tournament and was part of the Canada West First Team All-Star in 2017/18.
“Isaac has been one of the most prolific attackers in Canada West and USport over the past few seasons,” commented Coach Simonson. “Having called Victoria home for the last few years he’s the perfect player to represent the Highlanders in L1BC and we look forward to the excitement it will bring on the pitch.”
With his incorporation into the Highlanders, we are looking forward to seeing Isaac on the field to help us in our League 1 BC season. Welcome, Isaac!
