Javier Sagaste joins VHFC Men’s program

Victoria Highlanders FC are pleased to announce Javier Sagaste’s commitment to the 2022 men’s roster. Javier will be an integral part of the midfield options for Coach Simonson this upcoming L1BC season.

“ I am looking forward to playing with other like-minded players who compete and continue to push themselves to the next level in this competitive league ,” commented Javier. “ Throughout this upcoming season I will support my team on both sides of the field, alongside creating and playmaking going forward. This league will allow me to showcase what I can do on the field, in addition to continuing to grow as a player. ”

Javier most recently has been playing with University of Victoria Vikes, competing in the USports National tournament in Ottawa last November. Javier has also won the Colonist Cup with Reynolds Secondary back in 2019, and was elected for a two week program sponsored by Adidas to practice and play in the Real Madrid training facility in 2018.

The Highlanders are fortunate to have another talented local player Islander in Javier on hand this inaugural L1BC season.
