On the advantages of playing at home at Centennial Stadium…

Player to watch: Armaan Nijjar

Coming off a fantastic rookie season at the University of Alberta, centre back Armaan Nijjar returns home to play for the Highlanders this summer. The Victoria native has shown early on that he means business, playing every minute of both games he started in, and registering a goal in the Highlanders 4-0 win over the whitecaps, along with the clean sheet. Armaan is a very composed centre back with the ability to help the team play out the back, and despite being the youngest member of the Highlanders back line, has shown to be a leader both on and off the park!
