Quotes: Highlander’s Taiya Scorey
On the main goal for the group going into the final games of the season…
“the main goal for the last three games of the season is to continue to connect as a team and see some favourable results”
On honouring the First Responders at the home game this weekend…
“Having the support of the community this season has been a really rewarding experience for everyone. This game day honouring our first responders is an awesome way to show our respect and forever gratitude to those who risk their lives everyday to help those in need. It’s super comforting to know that the first responders in Victoria have our backs and are here for us. We know how hard the last month has been for them, and we want them to know we have their backs as well”
On What the team needs to do to finish the season off strong …
“In order to finish strong for the remainder of the season, we need to leave everything on the field by giving each and every play 100% effort.”
Player to watch: Kiara Kilbey
Leading the Highlanders in both goals (3) and assists (2), Kiara Kilbey has shown that her experience around the box is not to be underestimated. Kilbey has been a force for the Highlanders all season long, and will look to add to her totals this weekend!
