Quotes: Highlander’s Mariel Solsberg
On how the team is preparing for this weekend…
“I would say we’ve been preparing for the last few weeks, just in really getting our fitness up and that’s kind of been integrated into training. Also just looking at playing into the highest target a little bit quicker, moving the ball a bit quicker, and just fine-tuning things because I think we’re almost there, it’s just a matter of those little details.”
On how the team chemistry has progressed since the beginning of the season…
“It’s such a short season so it’s such a challenge to get everybody kind of on the same page. I think it’s coming. I don’t know if I would say we’ve completely gelled yet, we’re not quite there, but I think that’s the goal.”
On what it will take for the team to get a result this weekend…
“I think part of it is going to be everybody being on the same page, and I think it’s taking the high percentage chances. If you saw our last game, we had a ton of attacking in the box, but those last little bits of execution were often missed opportunities. Getting that last piece I think will really complete our attack and hopefully lead to a lot of goals.”
