by Juan Benites

Victoria Highlanders are proud to announce our attackers for the women's side.

“All of our attacking players and wingers love to score goals and have an eye for the net. The majority of which are Over age players that have played in leagues such as this one for many years. We are excited to see them all contribute this season,” stated Assistant Coach Wes Barrett.

Erin Jensen

Erin Jensen was born and raised in Nanaimo BC, and just completed her second season with University of Victoria Vikes. She bring both experience and passion to the team, and looks forward to competing in the inaugural League 1 season!

Kiara Kilbey

Born and raised in Victoria, Kiara is very much a West Coast island girl. Kiara is bringing her five successful seasons with University of Victoria Vikes experience to the Highlander team. She was also one out of the three finalists for the Vikes’ major award, the President’s Cup, in 2020.

Paige Payne

Paige Payne, “The Pride of Kitimat” as she was known at UNBC, comes to the highlanders with an impressive resume. Most notably, in the 2018-19 U Sports season, Paige was named a Canada West Second Team All-Star, as well as UNBC Women’s Soccer Most valuable Player and Best Offensive Player.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to take part in this upcoming season with the Highlanders. I am looking forward to playing in a high-paced and competitive environment, and seeing how our team can adapt to the challenges that come our way,” commented Paige “During the 2022 season, my objectives are to bring my positive attitude and tactical knowledge as an older player, to help guide the younger players on the pitch. Knowing that the competition will be high, I am also excited to use my creativity and attacking mindset to help create opportunities for our team in the attacking third.”
