Michael Henman joins VHFC Men’s program

Victoria Highlanders FC are pleased to announce Michael Henman's commitment to the 2022 men's roster. The UNBC striker returns to his hometown of Victoria with high expectations of achieving the club's goals.

"I am most looking forward to coming together with this new group of players and testing ourselves against the different teams in the league. We have talent all over the field, and I think it will be really exciting to watch”, commented Henman. "My personal objective is to do my job and score goals for my team. I plan on being as dangerous as possible and consistently making life difficult for the opposing defenders."

Henman has played three seasons with the UNBC Timberwolves, where he played under Highlanders head coach Steve Simonson. With his return to Victoria, Michael will bring his USports experience as a center-forward to help the youngsters and strengthen the team in the inaugural L1BC season.

"Michael is a very dynamic and powerful forward”, stated Head Coach Steve Simonson. "He will be a handful for opposing defenders to deal with, and he could be a very important attacking piece for us".

With the addition of Henman to the Highlanders, you can expect to see some clinical finishing in our League 1 BC season.

Welcome, Michael!
